Free Course On Risk and Insurance in Volunteer Transportation Programs

 

Between June 12 and July 17, the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (part of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging) is offering a FREE course on liability and insurance issues affecting volunteer-based transportation programs. VIS is one of the presenters in the course.

Course registrants will:

  • Learn the tools to understand and manage the risks of starting and operating a volunteer transportation program.
  • Gain a better understanding of key factors affecting risk management, liability and insurance.
  • Learn about best practices for insuring volunteer drivers and training them in transportation safety.

Course materials will be posted starting June 12, 2019. The course is self-paced and participants can work through the materials on their own time.
